Portsmouth Bill is a police procedural series following the resurection of the career of Bill Grant, a middle aged Dectective Sergeant who has lost his mojo. When his wife leaves him unexpectedly he is forced to face his own mediocrity and learn to become a better father and as a result, a rejuvenated career. The books are set in the historic British port of Portsmouth and contain low levels of violence and swearing. The first book in the series is Dead Line.
